45 Minute Glass Bottom Boat Tour | 9:30am & 3:00pm Departures
Departing twice a day the Glass Bottom Boat Tours allow you to view the reef without getting wet. Ideal for non-swimmers and families with young children. The sheltered waters around Fitzroy Island are home to fringing coral reef offering a spectacular glimpse into the underwater world. Tours depart daily at 9:30am and 3:00pm. Duration: 45 minutes. Glass Bottom Boat Tours can be pre-booked or booked at the Fitzroy Island Sports Hub on the day.

Marine Life around Fitzroy Island
The reef features a variety of hard and soft corals, which create vibrant underwater landscapes. Some common species include clownfish, parrotfish, and wrasses. The reef is also frequented by green sea turtles.
The water clarity varies with the seasons and currents, typically offering visibility from 5 to 15 meters. Even with variable visibility, the vibrant coral and marine life make snorkeling a rewarding experience.
Best Time to Visit
The dry season from May to October is ideal for visiting, offering clear skies and calm seas. However, the reef is accessible year-round.
